Queensland Heritage Park

Explore, Discover, Relive & Remember

Welcome to the Queensland Heritage Park. Our complex, located in Biloela, Central Queensland, represents a celebration of our nation’s glorious past and the pioneering spirit of Australians.

Through a remarkable range of exhibits the Queensland Heritage Park provides an insight into the past for present and future generations.

The restored vintage church and railway station buildings are a testament to early pioneers and families who settled in the Callide and Dawson Valleys.

The walls of these buildings are lined with historical photographs and associated memorabilia from the families who shaped the district’s early days.

Each photo is like a winso back in time.

The Callide Dawson Machinery Preservation Club grounds at the rear of the complex compliment the main display area, housed in the “Silo” structure that was originally built to showcase Australia’s rich primary industries at the World Exhibition held in Brisbane in 1988.

We invite you to take the time to explore, discover and relive the past as you browse through the machinery sheds and the large array of vintage agricultural machinery.

Marvel at the workmanship of these beautifully crafted machines which have been collected, preservaed and placed on display for the enjoyment of the travelling public.

Annual Event

The complex and grounds come to life when the Callide Dawson Machinery Preservation Club Inc. plays host to the Annual Old Wheels in Motion Rally & Swap Meet on the third weekend of July each year.

This event sees exhibitors (from Queensland and across Australia) coming together to host a working weekend which showcases the uniqueness of the many vintage machines on display.

Demonstrations and events, like the vintage tractor pull, the tractor balancing competition and the traditional grand parade, amalgamate with displays of traditional crafts and trades to educate and entertain.

Market stalls, trade and swap meet sites also add to the overall atmosphere of the weekend. With catering, powered camping, hot showers and many other conveniences being offered to exhibitors and members of the public who wish to partake in the rally festivities
